Saul Hernandez, a native of Tampico Tamaulipas, Mexico and resident of Houma, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bayou Funeral Services, LLC.
A Life Filled with Love, Family, and the Joy of Cooking
Saul Hernandez was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and talented chef whose life was filled with love, laughter, and a passion for bringing people together.
For Saul, cooking was never just a profession. It was an expression of love. He believed that some of life’s greatest moments happened around a table, sharing a delicious meal with the people who mattered most. Whether cooking for family, friends, or others fortunate enough to enjoy his food, Saul poured his heart into every dish. His gift was not simply preparing a wonderful meal, but making people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved.
Beyond the kitchen, Saul’s greatest legacy was his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Amanda Hernandez; his sons, Noe Hernandez and Saul Ulysses Hernandez; his daughter-in-law, Catheryn Hernandez; and his cherished grandson, Lynk Hernandez. He is also survived by his stepsons, Gustavo Antonio Blandón and Wilford Noel Acevedo; and his grandchildren, Anthony Williams, Brandon Blandón, Wilfrank Acevedo, and Noeslin Acevedo.
Saul’s love extended throughout his family, and the memories they created together will remain a lasting reminder of the life he lived. His passion for cooking and the joy he found in serving others will never be forgotten. Although his place at the family table may now be empty, his presence will forever be felt in the meals prepared with love, the stories shared around the table, and the traditions passed down through generations. A chef may leave behind his kitchen, but the love he served will nourish hearts for generations to come.
Saul will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
